I am very disappointed by this alliance of yours .
After I booked the survey , their guy came and surveyed and after that packing and moving charges were agreed by both the parties.
After I made advance payment of 1000 k , I was told that packing wasn't possible between 6 am to10pm leaving me no option to agree with their unearthy hours for the work .But then they told me that they are sending the packers at 6 pm and somehow they have managed to get truck by 10 pm and promised me that my luggage would be packed and moved by 10pm on 22nd September .The packers came at 7.30 pm and to my surprise with no packing material except duct tapes and cartons only .They didnt even have screwdriver, cutter ,pliar or bubble wraps.
So the bpacking started without any bubble wrap for my fragile and expensive items .
They even destroyed my knife to unplug washing machine . There was nothing to wrap around the fridge , microwave , TV and washing machine .I gave them my blankets for the fridge and insisted on bubble wrap .I called up their boss and asked him .He replied that I shouldn't be worrying about breakage because if things are destined to9 break they can break with bubble wrap too.This answer of his made my question my choice again .
Their boss also insisted that I should send the luggage as it is and he will pack it well in his store.I didn't agree to it and told him to send all the material for safe packing to which he was reluctant and reason given was that he forgot to send the packing material .How can a packing company forget to get packing material at the site .I refuse to even acknowledge this excuse .
So the material arrived by 11 pm.and my luggage was loaded in their truck past midnight .It was so exhausting and tiring .It made me feel that I myself could have done better job without such chaos ,irresponsible, and unprofessional atritude of Karni packers.
There were no markers to mark the cartons and I was running around to ensure that each carton was pasted and marked by myself .I was not even given the reciept after the luggage was loaded.
I sent the total no of items loaded in trucks to karni packers on whataspp and it was acknowledged from their end on whataspp.
The company verbally outrihtly denied any responsibility of ensuring the safe transport of my luggage so I had to ask them to help me nwitj the insurance .They suggested icici Lombard. I told them to send me the brochure and instead they insisted on booking it without going through it but I was adamant on brochure so they sent me a copy of some other customer.
Karni packers charged 3 percent insurance premium where as on the document it was mentioned 1 percent .I had no option but to agree to his unprofessional doings since my luggage was already in their custody .
So the amount which was agreed for packing , moving and insurance was 15k .
In a span of 15 minutes ,after the total amount agreement, I get a soft copy of bill of 18 k on my whataspp .
On being asked about this additional 3k, company told me that because I had more items to be transported, 3k was added .
This was totally unacceptable because after thorough discussion and amount agreement 15 minutes ago, karni turned up to me with additional 3k .I told them to stop transportation of my luggage because I wasn't going to pay this added amount but they told me that nothing could be done as they had already shipped the luggage .
As mentioned earlier, the amount was duly agreed after their surveyor visited and saw all the items to be transported and moreover the no. of items were informed from my end at the time of loading and these items number was very well acknowledged by the company itself without any questions.
After I refused to pay extra, I was threatened...aap 18 k de rahe ho ya nahi !!!!. I refused and I was told ..toh theek hai, aap ko aapka saaman nahi milega!!!
It was a sheer blackmailing and unethical on their part .
I had to go to local police station and that too when I had so many other things pending before I left the town next morning.
I showed their bills ..pre and post loading .As you know, it is a tough task to get a complaint filed in police station. The officer there told me to pay 1000k instead of 3k .I had to agree since I didn't have time, energy and patience to deal with such packers anymore .
After the police man spoke to karni on phone,they agreed to charge 1000k extra .I asked for fresh bill but hey still added 100 rs extra to agreed amount again.
I was adamant to get a corrected bill which I received but after so much reluctance.
I wouldn't recommend Assure shift to anyone if your company has such alliances who behave like local goons and harass and blackmail the customers who totally go on assureshift's recommendations .
I have gone through so much stress, time wastage at every step of their packing and moving.All in all, horrendous experience and will never recommend your company .
Very unprofessional , stressful and threatening behavior....
